Employees Don't Need Motivation...They Want POWER!

I may be able to save you $2,000 or more per employee per year in wasted wages!

"Every employee needs to know that what he or she is doing in your business will provide the resources and opportunity he or she needs to succeed in life!"

American business is losing over $750 BILLION dollars a year to wasted and lost time. The average American worker is wasting over TWO HOURS EVERY DAY! How much is it worth to your organization to recover 30 minutes or more per day in wasted wages?

The conventional "motivational speaker" will visit your organization ramp everyone up to perform at peak efficiency; for at least the duration of the seminar.

"I don't 'motivate' employees; I teach them how personal motivation is an essential ingredient in developing personal power. I teach them how each individual's personal power is essential to the success of the organization, and that only a successful organization can provide opportunities to motivated individuals."

To paraphrase Rudyard Kipling: The power of the pack is the wolf; and the power of the wolf is the pack. Individual success contributes to organization success. Organization success should be shared as individual success.

"I teach your employees a comprehensive system of personal development, based on personal responsibility, which shows them how every contribution they make to organization success becomes part of their individual success."

Do you really know what motivates your employees? I do...

...the same things that motivate YOU!

How do I know this? I've been involved in martial arts for more than 20 years. Why do adults study martial arts? We've been polling our students for years, here's what they say:

  1. Personal Development
  2. Health & Fitness in Mind & Body
  3. Stress Reduction
  4. Personal Motivation & Self-Confidence
  5. Self-Defense...yes, this consistently shows up 5th in our polls. I'm wondering if it would show up at all if we didn't have it as a multiple choice option.

Your employees are paying for martial arts classes to get what they may not be getting at work!

Research consistently shows that the following factors are more important to employee motivation than money:

  1. Support in doing one's job to the best of one's ability.
  2. Control over areas related to one's job performance.
  3. Opportunity for recognition and advancement based on performance.
  4. Training opportunities in career and personal development.

Conclusion: Employees want and need the power and control to realize their personal vision of success.

I've been doing focused research into employee motivation for the past 15 years. I call this research "listening to people." My adult students tell me consistently that martial arts practice gives them a sense of power and control in their own lives. They want to improve themselves and their lives. They want to develop themselves physically, mentally and spiritually to realize the full potential of life.

Are you providing this same opportunity for your employees? If not, you're sacrificing production and profits.

Black Belt Business is simply the application of "The Dynamic Components of Personal Power" in our business lives.

I highly recommend Robert Kyosaki's "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". In this wonderful book Mr. Kyosaki describes four quadrants that identify our development toward wealth and success. These quadrants represent our roles as employees, self-employed, business owners and investors.

In each of these roles, the "Dynamic Components of Personal Power" are the foundation for success and productivity.

If we want to be successful in life and in business, we must constantly improve ourselves and generate more "Personal Power". If our business is to be successful, we must cultivate, appreciate and utilize the "Personal Power" of others.

Employees

If you now work for others, your efforts contribute to the wealth and success of your company. In a health employee/employer relationship, your efforts will be rewarded proportionately to your efforts and the investment exposure you've assumed.

Of course, one of the problems with being an employee is that no matter how hard you work, there is always some kind of limitation on the material rewards. Those who take the initial and ongoing risks will enjoy greater material rewards, and if they're smart, these rewards over time will increase while their brute efforts decrease!

As an employee I can:

bulletComplain and nurture jealousy for those I think have more than I do.
bulletGet going and do something to improve my condition!

I have been the disgruntled employee. I saw the light and I can help you see it too!

Every action you take for the benefit of your company can generate more Personal Power. You can apply this power to change your condition if you so desire.

Power Steps:

bulletRead "Dynamic Components of Personal Power".
bulletAttend a Dynamic Components seminar or retreat.
bulletIf you're a manager, book a Dynamic Components seminar for your organization.
bulletAccess the materials on this web site.

Self-Employed

I must admit this is where a huge part of my passion lies. All martial artists, once we decide to make a living at our craft, become "self-employed". I've spent much of my life in this area.

Mr. Kyosaki goes into great deal as to the differences between "self-employed" and the operator of a "business". The basic difference is that my "businesses" can operate whether I'm in the building or not. When I teach, I'm "self-employed", I have to be there! You might say that self-employment means we have a job in which we are both the boss and the worker!

Self-employment is often the launch pad of great entrepreneurial adventures! If you consider yourself "self-employed", you may want to stay that way or you may want to evolve your operation into a true "business". Most of us do some combination of the two.

Understanding the "Dynamic Components of Personal Power" will help you develop the power you need to make these choices!

Power Steps:

Business

All businesses are people.

If you operate a business your success is inter-dependent with the personal success of your employees. When your employees understand and realize their Personal Power, they will become more productive and satisfied.

I can help you make your business more powerful in two areas:

bulletTrain your employees from front desk to executive managers in the "Dynamic Components of Personal Power".
bulletPromote your organizations goals and philosophy, reinforce and support your mission and help your employees understand how their contributions to your organization will benefit their own lives and produce Personal Power they can apply to their own success.

My seminars provide a great base upon which you can present organization systems and promote goals and objectives. My particular strengths are in helping individuals realize that personal efforts that benefit the company also create benefits for the individual. My presentations can range from ongoing training to keynote addresses. Opening your next meeting or convention with my presentation will generate openness and enthusiasm with your audience and set the foundation for a productive and successful event.

I will become your greatest champion...provided I am comfortable with the mission and culture of your organization. I must know that your business goals and objectives are supportive of the individual goals and objectives of your personnel.

Power Steps:

bulletRead "Dynamic Components of Personal Power".
bulletSchedule a "Dynamic Components of Personal Power" event. We offer keynote appearances, ongoing training, half-day, full-day or weekend seminars and retreats.
bulletAsk about our "Personal Power Coaching" services available to entrepreneurs, managers and executives.
bulletMake the resources on this web site available throughout your organization.

Investor

If you're a serious investor and you now support yourself on the rewards of your previous efforts...you've made it!

Of course, many successful people still like to explore new opportunities and realize even greater potential. Many successful people like to increase knowledge and experience to share with others. In martial arts, we call this quality "Beginner's Mind".

If you've reached all or most of your goals and still see the value in self-improvement, I sincerely hope I can help. You will probably offer as much to me as I will to you. Perhaps you will help me help others to reach their goals.

Power Steps:

bulletRead "Dynamic Components of Personal Power".
bulletShare this information with others.
bulletAsk about becoming involved with our efforts in the future as we expand our programs to include presentations by successful people like yourself.
